Pymmes Park Consultation Results

First of all, thank you to all who attended Tuesday's stakeholder meeting in Pymmes Park. It was a really positive couple hours and I’m looking forward to continuing the work we are doing in and around the park. We heard from a variety of voices, all with one common interest: the prosperity of Pymmes Park.

For those interested in the work we're doing to keep Pymmes Park safe, in the coming days, Enfield will work out what gates are going to be temporarily closed. This will be done using an intelligence-led approach, which we will review quarterly. The idea being that with fewer entrances and exits, the easier it will be for police to respond to crime which occurs within the park. If this is a successful change, we will look at making it permanent - feedback from park-goers will be absolutely crucial here, so please reach out to me with your thoughts.

On top of this, I am also organising a Design Out Crime Officer to attend the park, who I hope will also come up with some innovative ways for us to drive out crime from the park long-term. A lot of time and money is being invested in this project, which I am supremely happy about and hope all who read this are too. I strongly encourage you all to also do research into crime prevention methods, as it may result in an idea being presented that we wouldn't have initially considered.

Future consultation will be had, and my aim is to have even more community members present, so please look out for that.
